Adult Orthodontic Pathway

D4 begins adult orthodontics with digital diagnosis and goal-driven planning: where teeth should move, how the bite should be built, where space will come from, and how the result will be retained—then selects the appropriate treatment system.

Records first

Intraoral scans record arches, bite, and space so movement goals can be discussed in 3D.
Facial and intraoral photos help review smile proportion, anterior tooth position, and lip-tooth relationships.
Imaging and periodontal findings help review roots, bone, periodontal stability, and movement limits.

What D4 reviews

Whether braces, aligners, or combined treatment fit the current tooth condition.
Whether periodontal care, restorative space, missing teeth, previous restorations, or bite issues need to be addressed first.
Whether orthodontic goals should coordinate with aesthetic restorations, veneer design, or long-term maintenance.

How the pathway forms

A digital plan comes before the execution tool.
During treatment, tooth movement, bite change, and cooperation are reviewed over time.
Retention, review intervals, and long-term records are planned at the end.
